No more Side panel and clock ?

I think the side panel takes up a lots of space and looks unattractive vertically... i think we should have it horizontally just below the " forum, portal, calender.... " Bar ...... And i think we should remove the clock .. its no use anyway since we all have a clock on the taskbar.....
Tell me what you guys think we should do .. What will be best for the forum???? ...

the ticking of clock is so annoying..you should definitely get rid of clock.
